Medical University of South Carolina Board of Trustees Collection, 1824-2012

The Board of Trustees files, beginning in 1824, document the administration of the university, hospital, and the six colleges including: actions, budgets, congressional bills, elections, and concerns. The Medical University Board of Trustees Minutes contains information regarding various events within the hospital and the college between 1847 through 2012.

The majority of the collection is comprised of minutes of the University Board of Trustees and the Hospital Authority Board of Trustees although it does contain memorandum, resolutions, constitutions and bylaws, and correspondence between board members and/or those working in conjunction with them. The collection is arranged in two series: (1) Administration and (2) Minutes.
